Manchester United have confirmed that Park Ji-sung will join his his team in South Korea on Wednesday.

The Korean winger was not with the initial sqaud on their Asian Tour and there was speculation that Park will miss the whole tour.

The 28-year-old is a major Korean icon and his absence in the traveling United team caused a mini stir back in his homeland.

But according to manutd.com, Park was recuperating after his international run-out for South Korea last month.

Now a club spokesperson has confirmed the winger will join United's pre-season tour when the team land in his home town on Wednesday.

United will play FC Seoul at the World Cup Stadium on Friday 24 July.
