Arsenal are back for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, after the Real Madrid striker ruled out a move to Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart.

Huntelaar seemed destined for a move to VfB, but Stuttgart pulled the plug on the deal after the Dutchman failed to reach a final decision.

The Sun now report that the Gunners are working to sign Huntelaar, who is rumoured to be looking for a move to the Barclays Premier League. Arsenal are ready to use €19 million from the Emmanuel Adebayor sale to fund the transfer.

However, the Gunners will be in for a north London bidding war, as bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in acquiring the prolific hitman.
