Greentown boss up for Red Devils

Manchester United are set to wrap up their Asian tour with a friendly against China side Hangzhou Greentown on Sunday.

Greentown coach Zhou Suian has his work cut out for him as the faces current English title-holders, Zhou however, is unfazed and eager for the challenge.

Speaking to United's official website, Zhou said: "This is a rare chance for our players to compete against one of the best sides in the world, which will hugely benefit our future development.

"We will be aiming to play at our best, focusing on ball control, and will be aiming to attack as much as defend."

The Greentown coach is also confident of his team's abilities, "We're renowned as a good passing team but we're also not afraid to put a tackle in where necessary."

Still, Zhou knows full well who he is up against on the coaching front, and sung praises for his English counterpart.

"I am full of respect for him [Alex Ferguson]. His mix of young and experienced players over the years has ensured great consistency in his team's performances.

"There are two things I most admire about him. Firstly, his ability to spot potential - he pays great attention to his players and bloods them early so that they become accustomed to playing at the highest level at a young age.

"Secondly, his guiding principle is clear: winning is about teamwork and all players must follow the Manchester United 'way'. That's the foundation of his success."

Not wanting to disappoint the ‘Green Soul', Zhou states that he is "aiming to help United to put on a show for the fans".

The 48-year-old will definitely be taking notes from his English encounter, "This is a very important opportunity for our players, who rarely come into contact with such world-class teams.

"We'll learn lessons from United that we can take into our domestic competition," Zhou said.
