Xabi Alonso is scheduled to train with Real Madrid after acing a medical with the club that sealed his move to the Bernabeu.

Alonso has now completely the move of his dreams, with the midfielder hailed as the missing link in Los Blancos' stellar cast.

Spanish tabloid Marca reported that the Basque midfielder travelled to the Clinica de La Moraleja after arriving at the Barajas airport in the Spanish capital, and was examined by the medical personnel at the facility in regard to his fitness levels.

Alonso cruised through the medical and was said to be ready to start training at the Valdebebas training complex.

 The creative maestro is set to meet with Los Merengues coach Manuel Pellegrini and his team-mates, many of whom he is familiar with in his time with the national side.

Alonso is set to travel with the squad to Vancouver where the Spanish giants are set to take on Toronto and DC United in a couple of friendlies.
