Preview: Insider's guide to Birmingham
Michael Browning talks to Eugene YS Han about Birmingham City on his team's return to the Barclays Premier League.
What is the best / worst your club can achieve this coming season?
Realistically the best we can achieve is to be safe from relegation before the end of the season and a mid table finish. The worst is relegation. Staying up is our target this year.
Who is your key player?
Christian Benitez. We don't quite know what to expect from him but if he lives up to the hype he will score the goals that keep us up.
Who is the unsung hero in your team?
Damien Johnson. He's been with us for nearly 10 years, never gives less than 100% but most fans don't seem to rate him.
Who is a waste of space?
No one in the current squad is useless but Marcus Bent probably contributes less than others.
Describe your best moment of last season.
Securing promotion at Reading was obviously the highlight but the win over Wolves at the beginning of April was great as well.
Is your manager the right person for the job?
The jury's still out for a lot of people but he needs to be given a whole Premier League season to show what he can do. He definitely brings something but some of his tactical decisions are baffling at times.
Which area do you think your team needs strengthening?
We desperately need a left back as both of our usual starters are injured. A creative central midfielder is also a must and we could do with a winger with pace as well.
Young player to look out for?
He's not that young but Keith Fahey joined us in January and will be one to watch in the coming season.
Where will your club finish this season?
16th (Hopefully)
How long have you supported Birmingham City?
15 years.
Name your all-time favourite player/s at the club and why?
Bryan Hughes. He scored goals from midfield and added a bit of flair to the side. My current favourite is Sebastian Larsson.
Which three teams will be relegated this season?
Burnley, Hull and Wolves
