As Emmanuel Adebayor escapes a second ban for his celebrations against former team Arsenal we look at the Togo striker's career.
1984: Born February 26, Lome, Togo.
2003: Signs for Monaco for an undisclosed fee.
2004: May - Is an unused substitute as Monaco are defeated 3-0 by Porto in the Champions League Final.
2006: January 13 - Signs for Arsenal in a £4million move.
February - Scores 21 minutes into his debut as Arsenal beat Birmingham 2-0.
2007: February - Sent off in Carling Cup final defeat to Chelsea for appearing to throw a punch at Frank Lampard.
2008: January - Clashes with team-mate Nicklas Bendtner seven minutes from the end of 5-1 Carling Cup semi-final defeat to Tottenham.
April - Becomes first player to score a hat-trick home and away against the same side in the Premier League after notching three goals in Arsenal's 6-2 win against Derby at Pride Park.
September - Scores a hat-trick in 4-0 away win over Blackburn.
October - Scores four goals for Togo in 6-0 World Cup qualifying victory over Swaziland.
2009: February - Named African Footballer of the Year, the first time a player from Togo had claimed the award.
July 18 - Signs for Manchester City for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of £25million.
September 13 - The FA confirm they will investigate two incidents involving Adebayor during City's game against Arsenal on September 12. The striker first appeared to stamp on Gunners striker Robin van Persie and then ran 90 yards to celebrate a goal for City in front of the travelling Arsenal fans, sparking a disturbance which led to a steward being knocked unconscious.
September 15 - Charged with violent conduct following the incident involving Van Persie and also charged with improper conduct over his celebration.
September 17 - Suspended for three matches on the violent conduct charge.
October 1 - Fined £25,000 and handed a suspended two-match ban for improper conduct in relation to his goal celebration against Asenal on September 12.
