Voronin has showdown with Rafa
Andriy Voronin has held a showdown meeting with Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez over his lack of first-team appearances.
Voronin is back with the Reds after spending last season on loan at Hertha Berlin.
The Ukraine international played well in the Bundesliga and Hertha were keen to bring him over in a transfer, but the striker chose to return to Merseyside.
However, Voronin has not featured for Liverpool on a regular basis, with David Ngog the main option behind Fernando Torres, and the 30-year-old has brought up his concerns with Benitez.
"Andriy has discussed his current situation at Anfield with Rafa Benitez," Voronin's representative, Andrey Golovash, told The Sun.
"The manager doesn't argue about his good form but his position is still the same.
"He told us, 'all is fine, just wait your chance.' Still Voronin has no intention of leaving Liverpool. He wants to play and prove he can be useful for the team."
Hertha are back in the frame should Voronin decide to leave, but Golovash shot down suggestions of a return to the Bundesliga.
"Andriy is not interested in a move to Hertha. We are not even considering that."
