Emmanuel Adebayor has claimed that Cesc Fabregas will leave Arsenal if the Gunners fail to secure a Champions League berth.

Adebayor has indicated that the Gunners' stars, such as the Spaniard, will dump the club if they are out of contention for Europe's top competition.

"I think players like Fabregas will look to leave if they are not in the Champions League, but my focus is all on City now," Adebayor told The Daily Mirror.

Adebayor then took a subtle stab at Arsenal fans, suggesting that the Emirates Stadium faithful did not support their players adequately.

He said: "Football is more [than] kicking a ball and tackling. There is a connection between people, players, fans that takes it to the highest level.

"When that is missing, everything falls apart. You need to feel loved and that is what I feel at City."
