Cesc: Fab football can win titles

Cesc Fabregas is adamant that Arsenal’s style of playing fluid attacking football is the perfect recipe for winning silverware.

Arsene Wenger has preached the ability to entertain in addition to playing winning football, but while Arsenal continue to win the fans over for dazzling passing play, the Gunners have not won any significant silverware since 2005.

The north London outfit managed to finish fourth in the Premier League in the previous campaign, but Fabregas believes that his team is capable of winning major honours while entertaining the masses.

"I know we are capable of winning trophies, I can never accept that we must change our style to win," the Spanish midfielder told Sky Sports.

"Trophies are important, but so too is the style in which you play the game.

"I disagree with the argument that good football can't win trophies.

"We are desperate to please the fans with success, but we also want to make them happy with the way we play."

Fabregas once again pledged his allegiance to Arsenal, after speculation linked the midfield dynamo with a move to the Primera Liga.

"I have always said that I am happy at Arsenal," he insisted.

"No matter how many times I say I am content here, there are still stories about me going back to Spain.

"This is my home and I have no plans to leave."
