Live Update
FT - But they don't. The ref blows and it's all over! A pulsating game that had everything but a goal. Birmingham will rue the missed penalty while for City it's a fourth consecutive draw. Not a pleasing run of results for their sugar daddies. They still go up to fourth in the league above Tottenham on goal difference though. That's it from us for now. Linger around, enjoy our Barclays Premier League coverage from Saturday and we'll have the match report as well as the post match reactions from today's game shortly.
ET - What a fool. Ferguson prevents Zabaleta from taking a throw and is booked for a second time in the match. If Birmingham lose it from here, McLeish will be apopleptic.

ET - Petrov knocking at Birmingham's door now! But his left footed screamer goes high and wide.

87' - Great control by Wright Phillips to bring down a Tevez long ball. Whips it in, but is repelled by the defence.
86' - Thakfully it's not as serious as it looked initially. The game is underaway again and Johnson is back on his feet.

59' - Another great ball by Tevez to Wright-Phillips on the far right. The England forward squares it in but it's cleared for a corner.

47' - Lescott almost gets caught out by a long ball. Good pressure again from Benitez. Given gathers in a hurry.
Half-time score: Birmingham 0-0 Manchester City
ET' - A long cross from Benitez that floats over Larsson's head is the last action of the half. A lack of goals but certainly no lack of excitement at St. Andrews'. Join us again in 15 minutes for the second half!
ET' - Pathetic delivery by Barry. Sails high over Taylor's crossbar.
ET' - City press forward now. Barry can't control the ball in the box and it falls to Tevez who is brought down by Scott Dann. Dann gets a yellow card. City get another good free kick.
43' - How did City escape there?!! Larsson scuff his shot and it falls to Lee Bowyer whose blast is repelled and then gathered by the brilliant Given.
40' - De Jong brings down Larsson and gets a talking to from the ref. Lucky not to get a yellow there.
36' - Free kick for City in a promising area. Promise remains unfulfilled. That's probably the worst free kick Bellamy has taken in his life. And he's taken some really bad ones.
34' - Sebastian Larsson could have put Birmingham one up here! Right through the heart of City's defence. Just couldn't control the ball and Given gathers it easily in the end.
30' - Mayhem in the Birmingham box! A brilliant through ball by Tevez finds Wright Phillips whose petite frame is immediately overwhelmed by a battery of defenders. Ball goes out for a corner in the resulting confusion.

19' - Dipping shot from Wright Phillips from the right lands the Birmingham keeper in trouble. The ball bounces dangerously off his hands and around the penalty box before being cleared by the defence.
16' - Birmingham are pressing Man City brilliantly here. Back pass from Barry forces Given to clear hurriedly as Benitez rushes forward.
14' - Finally City get into the game. Tevez, resplendent in a white hairband, frees Craig Bellamy. Shot blocked by Maik Taylor. City get nothing from the resultant corner.
12' - City are struggling here. Cristian Benitez through on goal but his hurried shot is blocked by Given. City have much to thank their keeper for in the opening exchanges.
9' - Birmingham on fire here! Benitez shoots from just outside the box. Given gets barely a fingertip on it and deflects onto his left post.
7' - Almost a shock start! Barry Ferguson disposseses Gareth Barry and shoots just wide!
Visitors City will be looking to take advantage of yesterday's slip up from both Liverpool and Tottenham, as a win or a draw will see the light blues move into the top four.
Mark Hughes star-studded team will certainly be looking to take all three points after a disappointing run of three consecutive draws in the Premier League.
In contrast, Birmingham will be hoping to build on last week's morale boosting win over Sunderland and move towards the relative safety of mid-table.
