England manager Fabio Capello has dismissed claims that Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs is ready for the senior side.

Gibbs will be told to stay with the Under-21 side instead of going with the senior side to Qatar for the  friendly against Brazil.

He will only be considered if Ashley Cole or Wayne Bridge are injured.

"Gibbs is a really good player, he's very interesting for the future of the England team," Capello said. "But he's young and now he has to play in a really important game for the Under-21s against Portugal at Wembley."
