Nani on his way to the Italian Serie A?
Within two days of Nani's outburst against Sir Alex Ferguson, it is rumoured that the Portuguese may be on his way to Italy.
Both Juventus and AC Milan have allegedly shown interest in the winger and a transfer may on the cards in the next months, when the January window opens. Nani had expressed displeasure at the situation in Old Trafford, even going so far as to say that Ferguson may be harming his career.
The 23 year old arrived at Manchester on the back of a lot of hype but has struggled to live up to it. His performances have come under greater scrutiny after Cristiano Ronaldo's departure in the summer.
It was expected that Nani would replace his countryman but he has not been able to command a regular place in the starting eleven, with only one goal against his name this season. That came against Chelsea in the Community Shield.
With frustration rising, the Portuguese gave an incendiary interview to the media. Although he sought to play down his comments in a subsequent interview, Ferguson has been known to brook no opposition to his methods.
Thus, a move to Italy might just be the perfect solution given the circumstances.
