Babel proud to be part of Reds
Ryan Babel is adamant that he is happy at Liverpool and is optimistic that the Reds can still advance in the Champions League.
Rafa Benitez's men need to win their final two matches in the group stages and pray for a good result in the other fixture to qualify for the knockout stages.
Babel also took the time to state that Liverpool is a great club.
He told Sky Sports News: "He [Netherlands boss van Marwijk] wants players to be playing at their club to get a chance to go to the World Cup - that's also what I try to reach and work every day very hard.
"Liverpool are a very good team everybody knows that and I am proud to be part of Liverpool."
The Reds drew 2-2 with Birmingham City last Monday, but Babel insists that his team is talented enough to play themselves out of this rut.
"If you analyse the last game [against Birmingham] we had enough chances to win by three or four goals and we failed to score more than two.
"In the end we drew and I think maybe just that little bit of luck isn't there."
Speaking in regards to their poor Champions League form, Babel said: "Maybe it is not best situation, but we still have confidence.
"We have chances to qualify so we go for it."
