Van Persie sustains serious injury
Arsenal have been rocked by a serious injury to star striker Robin van Persie which could see him out of action for months.
Van Persie was stretchered off after a challenge from Italy's Giorgio Chiellini during Holland's goalless friendly draw on Saturday night.
Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk suggested Van Persie had torn his ankle ligaments, althought the extent of the injury will only be known once tests have been carried out.
If confirmed, Van Persie would be facing around two months on the sidelines - something which would threaten to derail Arsenal's Premier League title challenge.
Van Persie has been in superb form for the Gunners this season, his seven goals helping them to second spot in the Premier League and into the last sixteen of the Champions League.
Arsenal trail leaders Chelsea by five points but have a game in hand on their London rivals.
