Wenger: Ramsey is doing well

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is happy with the progress being shown by teenage midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The young prodigy was called up for international action with Wales last week, and put in a man of the match performance in the  game against Scotland.

Ramsey, who turned down an approach from Manchester United to sign for the Gunners, had a hand in all three of Wales' goals as he provided two assists and capped the evening off with a fine individual effort.

Speaking to the Arsenal website Wenger was quick to praise the youngster for his progress this year, saying "He has a lot of qualities. I believe he is developing very well.

"I am very happy that from game to game he shows how good he will be."

Ramsey may be thrust into more competitive action over the coming months as fixtures continue to pile up in the build-up to Christmas and New Year.

Cameroon midfield anchor, Alex Song, will be away in January due to his involvement in the African Cup of Nations, and Ramsey will be vying for a midfield role along with Denilson.
