Megson aware of player issues
Bolton’s gaffer Gary Megson has reason to believe that some Bolton players are trying to wreck the club’s survival chances.
After three consecutive losses Bolton have wandered into the drop zone.
Speaking to The Sun, Megson commented: "Are certain players trying to destabilise the club? Yes, but you have to get on with these kind of things.
"You have to make sure it doesn't become an issue. It's about the players who are playing and the squad that's out there.
"If you are in, great. If you aren't, you have to get on with it.
"If another club comes in for you, then you may move on but that has not been the case so far.
"One or two players are not happy. I imagine it's the same at every club."
Megson was at the receiving end of the fans' abuse after Sunday's failure against Blackburn at the Reebok stadium. The gaffer knows that the fans are desperate to see improvement, but there is only so much within his control.
He pointed out, ""We are in a relegation battle, we've been in one before and we have to use everything in our power to get out of it.
"A lot of players at the moment are playing way below the quality I know they can exhibit.
"We've got to stay together and cope with outside influences.
"There are 26 games to go and it's going to be a battle. There'll be good times and bad times but we have to get on with it."
