Adebayor backs City to shine
Emmanuel Adebayor has reassured Manchester City supporters that the club's run of six straight league draws is a mere blip.
After a summer of heavy spending expectation levels soared at Eastlands, with Mark Hughes' side tipped to make a concerted effort to bag a top four spot.
A brilliant start to the campaign saw City prove wrong those that predicted they would struggle to gel as a unit following a raft of new signings.
However, having not won in the league since late September, talk of playing in Europe's premier club competition has been quiet of late.
Adebayor is a veteran of Champions League football having figured in the competition regularly while at Arsenal and he insists his new side are still on track for qualification.
"When I was at Arsenal, we always had a spell where we'd draw four or five in a row," he said.
"Big clubs always have difficult moments in a season. These are the type of things that can happen and the secret is dealing with it well.
"How we deal with the hard times will be the test of whether we finish in the top four."
