Hodgson satisfied with point
Roy Hodgson was satisfied with a point after seeing his team come from behind against battling Bolton to draw 1-1.
A 75th minute equaliser from Republic of Ireland winger Damien Duff cancelled out a 34th minute opener from Bolton's Ivan Klasnic.
The draw kept Fulham in 10th place in the Barclays Premier League but Bolton are still entrenched in the bottom three.
"I thought we were unlucky to go in at half-time not winning because we had one chance cleared off the line," said Hodgson.
"But I am full of praise for the players for the way they came out and attacked in the second half.
"We played some much better football after the break. But I must pay credit to Bolton for their resolute back four and their goalkeeper. They came up with the answers when we asked them.
"I would have liked to have won the game but it would have been a harsh pill to swallow had we lost.
"Bolton's goal was very good. Klasnic took it excellently. We had to work hard and play a lot of football to get the equaliser.
"But to play three matches inside a week is a tough ask so all credit to the players."
Hodgson was particularly delighted for Duff, who shook off the disappointment of Ireland's failure to qualify for the World Cup finals, with a superb strike.
Left-footed Duff smashed the ball into the bottom corner with his right foot to earn Hodgson's side a deserved point.
"He's a good player and he's played a lot of matches recently," added Hodgson.
"He is like a lot of left-footed players who, over the years, develop a good right foot as well.
"He has worked hard on his so-called wrong foot that I would now describe him as a two-footed player."
Bolton boss Gary Megson was brief and to the point saying there was nothing wrong with the fighting spirit within the camp.
Bolton remain third from bottom in the Premier League and are two points adrift of West Ham.
"There's no problem with the spirit," said Megson. "I would not suggest that is an issue. We will all fight for each other.
"Having been 1-0 up and weathered the storm, we had to keep the ball up the pitch to alleviate the pressure."
But Bolton, who also collected six bookings, were subjected to a second-half onslaught which eventually brought Fulham an equaliser.
"I was a bit disappointed with a couple of the bookings," added Megson.
"Ricardo Gardner's booking was for dissent but he hardly ever says anything."
However, although the Bolton boss removed goalscorer Klasnic from the action in the second half, he was still full of praise for the Croatia international.
"Klasnic is one of best strikers in the Premier League," added Megson.
