Arsenal have to win a trophy
Arsenal have to secure some silverware this season, believes 21-year old midfielder Denilson.
Failing to gather any points from their clash with local rivals Chelsea, the bridge between the two sides has been widened to 11 points.
Gunned down 3-0 at home, Arsenal's hopes of picking up their first Premier League trophy since 2004, have virtually been shot out the sky.
Some say that the lack of experience in a title race is the key factor in Arsenal's inability to keep pace with the league leaders; however, Arsene Wenger believes that can no longer be used as an excuse.
The Brazilian midfielder echoed his manager's words to Sky Sports News: "When you lose people say things that we don't have the experience, but Arsene Wenger believes in us, so you have to have confidence."
"In training you have to focus and you have to believe in him. He gives us the opportunity, you have to show it."
Denilson assured that the loss was deserved but no more than a pothole on their road to success.
"Yesterday, Chelsea scored three goals and were better than us," he said.
"We have to have confidence this season. It's a long time since we won a trophy, so we have to win a trophy this season anyway."
