Lescott is no Terry believes Ancelotti

Chelsea gaffer Carlo Ancelotti believes that Chelsea’s league title will come around because of John Terry’s leadership.

He also believes that Manchester City's dream of featuring in the Champion's League may come to a possible end because they lack an authoritative figure as such.

Fuelled with cash from the Abu Dhabi masters had allowed them to put up a £50 million for the Chelsea captain. It was brushed aside as the skipper put pen to paper to stay at Stamford Bridge for another 5 years.

Ancelotti knows that was possibly the best business that Chelsea has conducted so far.

Speaking to the Sun he had mused about his captain: I think City wanted Terry not only for his technical quality but also for his leadership and his personality.

"But I never feared Terry would leave us. He is the symbol of Chelsea.

"When I met him I found him to be just the man and player I thought he'd be.

"For any coach, to have someone like John Terry is a huge advantage because he is a great example to others."

He could not resist a jibe at Eastland counterparts when he explained Terry's replacement at City,"City tried to sign him, and after they could not, they bought Joleon Lescott instead. He is a good defender - but it's true they have not won in their last seven league games."
