Tim Howard: TV helped me

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has credited television for his late penalty save that earned his side a crucial point.

The custodian guessed the right direction and stopped Tottenham from getting away with all three points at Goodison Park. According to the American the abundance of TV footage had helped his preparation for the kick.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game he disclosed: "Louis [Saha] gave me a little word of advice. But I kind of knew what to expect from Defoe.

"To be honest, there is so much video footage available these days, that not one penalty isn't there to see."

Everton's fans played a major contribution in aiding the Toffees comeback according to the stopper: "For me it [a potential move away from Goodison Park] is difficult to talk about, because I want to stay.

"Today the crowd were up for it, and thankfully we gave
them something to cheer."
