Hargreaves comeback still a mystery

Still no date set for Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves' comeback.

Hargreaves has recovered from his two knee operations that kept him out for 14 months but it is the mental side of it that he is still struggling with.

The Sun reported that both Six Alex Ferguson and assistant manager, Mike Phelan are refusing to rush the midfielder back from injury.

Sir Alex Ferguson said:"Owen is doing most things but it is the confidence part to mark the big step forward in the competitive part of the training that needs to come."

With the 2010 World Cup getting closer with each passing day, Hargreaves will need to make a comeback and give himself enough time to impress Fabio Capello if he harbours any thoughts of making it to South Africa.

However, Phelan continuing to take the patient approach with the player.

Phelan added: "He is out there running around and we are working hard with him on a theme to help him come back."

United take on Wolverhampton on Tuesday night in the Premier League and will be hoping to close the five-point gap between them and Chelsea.
