Stoke boss Tony Pulis has a fully fit squad to choose from ahead of Monday night's trip to Sunderland.

Captain Abdoulaye Faye returned to training this week after missing Sunday's 3-1 win over Arsenal in the FA Cup with a calf injury.

Pulis is still hopeful of completing a deal to bring Portsmouth goalkeeper David James to the club before Monday's transfer deadline.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce faces an anxious wait over a series of players.

Bruce is keeping his fingers crossed that Lee Cattermole (back injury and illness), Phil Bardsley (hamstring) and Michael Turner (knee) could resume training over the weekend.

Kieran Richardson (calf) is unlikely to be available, while Anton Ferdinand (ankle) has yet to return to training, but John Mensah and Boudewijn Zenden have suffered no reaction following their respective returns.
