Striker Andrei Arshavin has issued a rallying call, saying that Arsenal cannot surrender so easily.

Discussing the Liverpool clash, Wenger was of the opinion that his team's defensive defeciencies could be addressed easily.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has said that the Reds' fighting spirit has been restored following a good run of form recently.

Gerrard also claimed that third spot is a possibility for the Reds, given their purple patch and Arsenal's defeats to Manchester United and Chelsea.

Liverpool legend Ian Rush agreed with the Reds captain, saying that the team should now be targetting a spot above the Gunners in the table.

Manager Rafael Benitez has said that a solid defensive performance will be crucial in beating the Gunners at home.
