Vieira focused on fourth spot
Patrick Vieira is confident that Manchester City have got what qualify for the Champions League through fourth spot.
The former Arsenal midfielder joined City in January from Inter Milan but has had to settle for a bench role under Roberto Mancini's reign.
City take on a jubilant Fulham outfit this weekend and it will be a tough game with Roy Hodgson's men in confident mood having ousted Juventus to take their place in the Europa League quarter-finals.
In a report by The Mirror, the Frenchman said: "We know things aren't going to get any easier on the run-in,
"When you get to the final 10 games of the season, every match is tough whether you are playing teams at the top or the bottom.
"The teams in the top half are either vying for the title or the ¬Champions League and the clubs in the bottom half are battling to avoid relegation.
"We want to finish fourth as badly as anyone, but I think we've shown we can battle as well as play good football.
"We proved in the away games against Chelsea and Sunderland that we react well to going behind in games and have a great spirit within our team.
"What we need to do is make sure we score first and then push on.
"If we can do that at Fulham, I think we can go on and take all three points."
Vieira will hope to be given a starting role against the Cottagers but with Nigel de Jong and Gareth Barry working in perfect tandem for Mancini in recent weeks, it will be tough for the former Gunner to force his way into the Italian tactician's plans.
