Kuyt: We don't want United to win
Dirk Kuyt will be going all out for a win against Manchester United to stop them from surpassing Liverpool's proud record.
With 18 league titles in the trophy cabinet, United will surpass Liverpool to hold the record outright and that has given the Liverpool players even more motivation to stop the Red Devils when they clash on Sunday.
Speaking to the club's official website, Kuyt declared: "It's another thing. No one here at Liverpool wants to see them winning another league title but the main thing for us is to win our own games,
"It's a big rivalry. It's my fourth season at the club so I know what it means. I know how it feels when we beat them and hopefully we can do it again on Sunday.
"Winning the last three games against them shows this team can do it. Everyone knows things haven't gone as we wanted over the last couple of months but that's behind us.
"We've had a good week so far and if we get the same result as we did last year in Manchester then it will turn into a fantastic week. If we play like we did against Lille and Portsmouth, I'm sure we have a chance."
The hardworking Dutch forward also singled out the dynamic duo of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres as his team's biggest threat going forward.
He added: "Everyone knows Fernando and Stevie are world class. We've got a good team but with those two we know they can decide every game for us,
"The form Fernando is in now is great for the team and hopefully he can do the same again on Sunday.
"The reaction of the team has been good this week and we'll try to win every game between now and the end of the season."
