Chelsea are ready to offer Inter Milan a whopping €30 million to bring Mario Balotelli over to Stamford Bridge.

Balotelli, whose talent is unquestioned but temperament suspect, has been involved in transfer speculation ever since he began to fued with former Inter coach Jose Mourinho.

The fiery striker clashed with the equally fiery manager numerous times over the course of last season and his exit from the San Siro was a foregone conclusion.

All that changed after Mourinho left for Real Madrid and Rafael Benitez arrived at the helm. Ever since taking up the reins, Benitez has not commented publicly on Balotelli but such is the density of reports surrounding an impending move by the striker that there is likely to be some truth in them.

Now internews.it reports that Chelsea are willing to spend big to lure the striker away. Manager Carlo Ancelotti has already spoken of his deisre to manage Balotelli and it looks like the Don Carlo might get his wish.

Manchester City are also reported to be interested in the striker, and it would be interesting to see who would come out in a clash of egos between the billionaire owners of Chelsea and City.
