Chelsea new boy Ramires is hoping to play a big part in the club's bid for their second consecutive Premier League title.

The Brazilian midfielder made the switch from Benfica to London for £18.2m is already itching to take his first step at Stamford Bridge.

"I cannot wait to play my first game for Chelsea. I've spoken to the manager and that could happen this Saturday.

"My debut will be incredible for me because I've always dreamed of this chance. It will be a great moment for me.

On the Blues irresistible start to the season, the 23-year-old likens it to a high speed train which he hopes to catch a ride on it.

"Chelsea have begun the season like a locomotive engine but the season is long and the matches are not always easy.

"For me, Chelsea is the favourite for the title and I want to be in the starting XI. That is my target."

While players usually take time to adapt to the living environment upon making a move, Ramires has fitted into the London lifestyle seamlessly and is enjoying every moment of it.

"London is wonderful. I have visited the city with my wife Islana and it's enormous and very interesting.

"I want to be a success in the Premier League, stay for a long time and enjoy my football on the pitch.

"I am working hard every day in training hoping to get my opportunity. To play at Stamford Bridge in front of the fans will be perfect."
