Ancelotti supports player privacy
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti insists he is not interested in what his players do in their private lives.
Speaking to BBC London 94.9, the Italian said: "I'm not interested in the private life of my players".
"It's not involved in our job. I think private life has to be private life."
The Chelsea manager successfully navigated the minefield that ensued when both Ashley Cole and captain John Terry were subject of similar media exposes last season, and was proud that his players were able to separate their personal issues with their play on the pitch.
"John Terry was able to keep his private problem outside of the training ground, and for that reason he remained captain of Chelsea", Ancelotti added.
The manager also believed that England's media culture needed to find a balance between public interest and privacy rights, while keeping interest in the game strong.
"The media are too intrusive but that is the culture of this country," he added.
"This is not good for my culture.
"But there are good things here, there is a fantastic atmosphere around football, there is no violence and people come to watch games to enjoy [themselves], that is totally different from Italy."
Apparently the Italian has also kissed and made up with Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho. The two had endured a bitter rivalry when both were managing sides in Serie A.
"He was very kind when I won the Premier League", Ancelotti said.
"He sent me a message and our relationship is different [to the one in Milan], it is a good relationship."
"We met in Geneva last week," Ancelotti continued. "We had a good time together, now he is my friend."
