Rooney abuse will be at fever pitch
Wayne Rooney's sex scandal will open the door for increased abuse from Everton fans as Manchester United visit on Saturday.
Tuesday's England hero is almost certain to be singled out by fans at Goodison Park given his history at the club and with the revelations about his private life still making the tabloid rounds.
England team-mate Phil Jagielka, whose job it will be on Saturday to keep the United forward quiet on the pitch, has said that "there's a good chance" Rooney will get slaughtered by Everton supporters.
"He normally gets quite a bit of stick anyway. I can't see that changing.
"I am sure Wayne can deal with it. He is a tough lad and he will let his football do the talking."
United's match with Everton will be Rooney's first Premiership game back since details about his activities with prostitutes made the headlines in England.
