Deco urges Lampard to stay
New Chelsea signing Deco is urging Frank Lampard to snub a move to Inter Milan and stay with the west London club.
Portugal international Deco, 30 landed at Stamford Bridge from Barcelona last week in a mega deal worth some $US16 million.
The former Barca favourite has now wasted little time in telling Lampard why the one-time West Ham United star should continue plying his trade in the Barclays Premier Leagiue.
"I think I can be compatible with Lampard on the pitch," Deco told England's The People newspapaer.
"That is, of course, something that the trainer has to decide - he is in charge. But I have seen a lot of Chelsea games on TV, and together Frank and I can create a lot of danger for other teams."
Inter, coached by ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, have been busy courting Lampard over the summer, with a deal for the England midfielder looking increasingly likely.
Lampard is refusing to deny that he is on his way out of Chelsea and, when quizzed recently by Corriere Dello Sport as to whether he will be playing under Jose Mourinho again.
Lampard simply replied: "Inter? Yes, probably."
