The flamboyant wizard's potential destination has began to resemble as something of a long-drawn soap opera during the transfer window, with speculation rife that Ronnie was set to join AC Milan.

The transfer is expected to go through within the next 48 hours.

However, the Dinho saga has now taken on another sensational turn with Televisiò de Catalunya and Sport.es claiming that Ronaldinho has somewhat surprisingly turned down the Rosseneri in order to ply his trade in the Premiership with Manchester City.

Despite agreeing on a fee with Barca and conducting extensive negotiations with Ronaldinho's camp, it was widely regarded that Manchester City's bid to bring the Brazilian to Eastlands was only a smokescreen for the player to join the Italian outfit.

However, news of the latest turn of events have now been transmitted to Italy where it is being claimed that reports of him turning out for Milan are just bogus.

Apparently, Televisiò de Catalunya and Sport.es are renowned for having close links with the Catalan giants and are simply attempting to raise the transfer fee should Ronaldinho join Milan.
