Stoichkov: Van Gaal a fool
Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov has let rip into former Nou Camp coach Louis Van Gaal, labeling him a "ridiculous fool."
The Bulgarian striker was coached by the Dutchman during his less fruitful second spell in Catalan and Stoichkov has shown no sign of easing on Van Gaal, lambasting his former manager this week once again in an interview.
"He is a total fool, he's ridiculous, he has a large head and small brain," he began.
"He began to play me in midfield when all my life I was a forward."
"I did not learn anything from him and if the day ever came when he arrived at Barcelona I would stop being a member," he raged.
This is not the first time that Stoichkov has spoken on Van Gaal as he even dedicated a section of his autobiography criticizing the current AZ Alkmaar boss.
The Bulgarian sensation also admitted that it would be an honour to take over the reins in the Nou Camp if he eventually gets the call.
"To coach Barcelona one day would be a dream," he said, "They are the largest team in the world and always have to be the best."
"This season will be good for them because although Real Madrid have kept the skeleton of their team they have not reinforced much," he explained.
During his first spell with the Catalan side Stoichkov made over 150 appearances and was one of the most popular players in Johan Cruyff's 'Dream Team' which won La Liga four years in a row from 1991 to 1994.
