Spanish giants Real Madrid could move for Juande Ramos to replace Bernd Schuster if he continues to under-perfrom.

According to the Sun, the former Sevilla and Tottenham manager is among the Real short-list that includes technical director Miguel Angel Portugal.

Ramos may have not distinguished himself in England despite winning the Carling Cup with Spurs, but his record with Sevilla is still regarded highly in Spain.

Schuster has been under pressure after Real crashed out of the Spanish Cup on away goals to Third Division minnows Real Union on Tuesday.

The German coach said: “I don’t doubt about my continuity but I understand others do.

“Everyone has to have a lot of doubts with the team and with my work.”
