Laporta: Barca not great - yet

Joan Laporta feels Barcelona still have some way to go before they can claim to be the best team in the world.

The Barca president was on hand to see the Catalan giants win the Copa del Rey on Wednesday thanks to a 4-1 drubbing of Athletic Bilbao.

Pep Guardiola's men are also on the verge of winning the Primera Liga title and have a Champions League final against Manchester United to look forward to on May 27.

Despite their successes this season, Laporta is adamant however that more trophies must be won for Barca to label themselves as one of the greatest sides on planet football.

"Other people will put the adjectives but to be regarded as the best team in the world you have to have a longer run and finish it off with trophies," Laporta told Barca's official website.

"We've already won one and now we're looking forward to more.

"We are harvesting the first fruits of the work done this season and it's normal that people celebrate, but we have to keep on doing our job with the necessary humility not to lose sight of our next objectives, the league and the Champions League," he added.
