Guti has revealed he is desperate for Real Madrid to make a splash in the summer to bolster the talent in their ranks.

The Spaniard is keen for big signings even though it may jeopardise his role as a regular in the side.

Guti's playing time has been greatly reduced this season due to the arrival of Lassana Diarra in the January transfer window. If Real choose to bring in more midfielders, he could find himself pushed out of the first team.

Despite this potential outcome, he is still hoping for big-name players to grace the Bernabeu.

"I hope that Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi come. At Madrid, there has to be the best players," he told Cuatro.

Florentino Perez will make that a reality should he win the upcoming Real Madrid presidential elections this summer.

Guti believes that should he return and bring the players that have been mentioned, it will bring success back to Madrid.

"We all know what he did in his day and we expect that he will start a great project, with big players who stay at the club and win many titles for Real Madrid," he concluded.
