Real blasted for Mourinho approach

Inter Milan have been quick to criticise Real Madrid after the Spanish giants' attempt to secure the services of Jose Mourinho.

According to reports in the Italian media, Madrid presidential candidate Florentino Perez sees Mourinho as the perfect candidate for the post soon to be vacated by current incumbent Juande Ramos.

Mourinho was allegedly approached by Real over a lucrative summer move to the Bernabeu, discussions that were, however, conducted without Inter's knowledge or consent.

"We knew Real Madrid were interested, even though the Spanish side used less than orthodox methods," Inter market consultant Lele Oriali told Sky Sport Italia.

"In light of negotiations we have had with the club in the past, I think it would have been better for Real Madrid to have called president Massimo Moratti first before they contacted Mourinho.

"Mourinho had spoken to the president about it, but I think he will stay at Inter. That's my opinion, but you should ask him."

Despite Real's approach, Mourinho has insisted that he will almost certainly be at the San Siro next season.

"I am 99 per cent sure I will be staying at Inter," Mourinho roared on Sky Sport Italia.

"However, whoever is in charge of Real Madrid next year will be a very lucky man."
