Kaka could finish career with Real
Arrigo Sacchi has commended the “fantastic signing” of Kaka, declaring that the midfielder is a “great player.”
Kaka's move to the Bernabeu from AC Milan was finalised on Monday with the final price tag thought to be around €68 million.
Even though some have criticised the move, calling it overspending, the former Los Blancos sporting director believes Kaka will be worth every penny.
"Real Madrid have signed the best player they could. Not only is he a great player, he is a great man, a gentleman and a professional. He loves the sport, his work and always gives his best. He is an example for everyone. There cannot be a better signing," AS quote him as saying.
"I believe that Florentino [Perez] has made a fantastic signing because there were clubs who tried to sign him for a higher price. I am glad he has come to Real Madrid and I am sorry for Milan too, whose wages are too high and could not continue like that."
Sacchi then said that Kaka, after inking a six-year megadeal with Los Merengues, could hang up his boots after a career with Real Madrid.
"The leader must take the game and read it. The players have to do their work with ability, quality and passion, and Kaka will do that," he mused. "He is not a lazy player; he is a very good professional. He wanted to come to Real Madrid, he liked the club. He can finish his career with them."
