Bojan: I’m staying at Barca

Barcelona’s teenage star and Spanish u-21 international Bojan Krkic has said that he will remain with the Blaugrana, despite press reports that he will be part of an exchange for Valencia superstar David Villa.

The starlet is one of the most sought-after young players in Europe, but has not been a consistent feature in a Barcelona starting line up filled with international stars, fueling talks of a move to a club where he would be a first choice starter.

The 18 year old has quelled the speculation, however, insisting he is happy at the Nou Camp and will not be leaving.

"The directors at Barca have told me to remain at the club and for me, that's the end of it," he was quoted as claiming by Sport magazine in Spain, on his return from the European u-21 championships in Sweden.

"I have a good relationship with [coach] Pep Guardiola and I have been given the playing time that I deserved."

"The problem is that it is very difficult to break into the first team when three of the best forwards in the world are ahead of you. But the important thing is that I have enjoyed every minute that I have played."

Other than reports of a Valencia move, he has also been linked with Getafe, but his comments indicate that he is happy to stay put at the Nou Camp.
