Xavi slams uncontrollable Ronaldo
Barcelona midfielder Xavi exclaimed that he will never want Cristiano Ronaldo at the club because he is uncontrollable.
The Portuguese wing wizard who has just inked a six-year contract to make his world record move to Real Madrid but Xavi sees no reason to be worried.
According to him, Barca have the world's best player in Lionel Messi.
In an interview with Sport, the elegant playmaker declared: "The best player in the world is Lionel Messi and there's no chance he will switch allegiance,
"We also have Andres Iniesta, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o and with that kind of luxury, we are capable of doing anything.
"As for Ronaldo, I wouldn't want him here. At Barca, we do not have room for players who fill gossip magazines. We are hard workers and sportsmen but he, on the other hand, is uncontrollable."
Along with Madrid's other big-money signing, Kaka, the duo are expected to help launch Madrid's assault to wrestle the La Liga title away from Barca.
Xavi however, is not bothered by all the noise coming from the Bernabau and instead, wants to focus on his own team's ambition.
"We are in a very privileged situation. We know that Barca are in good football health and next season we will be presented with an exciting challenge," he explained.
"We have won more titles than we expected and because we have done so well, we have been rewarded with three more competitions and that makes us very excited.
"We have a lot of desire to continue winning. This group has a strong mentality and why shouldn't we dream about winning the treble again? I already said it last year and we managed to obtain it.
"It is no longer a dream, although we are aware that it will be difficult [to win it again]. In the history of Spanish football, it has only been done once, but it is also necessary to keep thinking that we will get six next time."
Fans around the world have already voiced the excitement at the possibility of seeing so many of the world's best players battling it out in the La Liga next season.
The only question left is which club will lift the trophy come the end of the season.
