Iniesta: Real do not worry me

Iniesta: Real do not worry me

As Real Madrid continue to rack up the big-name signings Barcelona maestro Andres Iniesta is unconcerned at a possible Real resurgence.

Iniesta was instrumental in the Blaugrana's 2009 treble triumph and is gunning for further success under the stewardship of Pep Guardiola.

Iniesta appeared on Catalan television to discuss the impact Madrid's new additions may have on Barcelona's title tilt, and the 25-year old stated that he is only concerned with the approach that he and his team-mates will undertake in order to defend their honours.

"€94m [For Cristiano Ronaldo] is a lot of money and we will see if it works," he said.

"The most important thing is that we have nothing to envy from Real Madrid. We just have to make sure that we look at ourselves."

Iniesta missed Spain's entire Confederations Cup campaign due to a leg injury and admitted he was disappointed to watch helplessly as they could only clinch 3rd place after being eliminated by the USA.

He added, "It is unfortunate that my colleagues failed to reach the final."

Finally, he reminisced about his stunning equaliser at Stamford Bridge that sent Barcelona into the Champions League final at the expense of Chelsea.

"That goal was a thing of destiny." He said. "I was lucky to be there to make that goal, it was the happiest moment of my life."
