Casillas calls for Galactico desire

Home-grown keeper Iker Casillas has called on the clubs big money signings to show desire and passion for the Madrid cause.

Many of the club's rivals believe that Real could struggle next year due to high expectations and massive squad changes, but Casillas is optimistic that the arrival of Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo will add the quality they need to regain their mantle as Spain's premier club.

After returning from the national side's Confederations Cup campaign in South Africa Casilla told waiting reporters "I hope that they [Kaka and Ronaldo] can contribute at the level that they've been showing and that they will arrive with a lot of desire to play and win titles for Real Madrid.

"With players like Kaka, Ronaldo, [Raul] Albiol and the rest of the current squad, we have to do everything possible to end Barcelona's dominance."

Casillas was then asked if Valencia striker David Villa would be the next galactic signing for Florentino Perez.

"I do not know what will happen," he replied. "I hope that everything will turn out well in the end for him and his family."
