Tiko and Lafuente leave Bilbao

Athletic Bilbao's Tiko and Inaki Lafuente have terminated their contracts.

Coach Joaquin Caparros has decided against retaining the players and there are offers from other clubs on the table, according to ETB.

Both Lafuente and Tiko (pictured) have been with Athletic for a while, in the case of the goalkeeper it was sixteen years altogether and a few as a first team player.

However, he has found that position occupied by Gorka Iraizoz lately and he has been unable to challenge for the number one spot, spending the second-half of last season on loan with Sporting Gijon.

Tiko on the other hand has also been with the club for eight seasons and spent some time out on loan with Eibar.

Along with these two, Casas will also leave the club this summer to go and play for Cartagena.

The news comes in the same week that the Basque club completed the signing of striker Inigo Diaz de Cerio from Real Socidead.

It has been reported that they are also after Joseba Llorente from Villarreal although a lot could depend on the movements at El Madrigal.
