Ronaldo: Primera Liga has more talent

Real Madrid new bot Cristiano Ronaldo believes the Primera Liga's quality will outshine its English counterpart this season.

The Portuguese wonder winger was referring to his new club's recent signings as a new era of Galacticos dawns at the Bernabeu.

The signings of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Karim Benzema and Raul Albiol have almost broken the £200 million mark for the Spanish giants.

Real chief Florentino Perez vows that more is yet to come as he seeks to realise his dream of a "spectacular sporting project", a work in progress that he believes will bring his side back to the top of European football.

With the last two winners of the Fifa World Player of the Year awards playing for the same team; Ronaldo and Kaka, the former Manchester United star is adamant that Real will be a force to be reckoned with this upcoming season.

"The Premier League is a very good competition, but I think that the Spanish league is going to have a little more quality because of the players that are arriving,

"Both leagues are going to be very good, but I think that with Florentino Perez's signings the Spanish league is superior to the English.

"It's going to be a magnificent competition in Spain. All the players have a lot of quality and the referees protect the players more," declared Ronaldo.

The 24-year-old has been known to be far from humble - not quite a coincidence then, that the ‘quality' that will be on display in the La Liga and not in the Premier League seems to coincide with his transfer.
