Kone delighted by Zokora arrival
Sevilla's capture of Didier Zokora has pleased Arouna Kone who is tipping his Ivory Coast team-mate to be a big hit.
Zokora had been Sevilla's top summer target and they finally got their man on Wednesday after agreeing a fee with Tottenham for the 28-year-old midfielder.
Zokora's arrival will take the number of Ivory Coast internationals at Sevilla to three, along with Ndri Romaric and Kone, and the latter believes the former St Etienne player's arrival spells good news for the Primera Division outfit.
"I'm very happy for him, now there are three compatriots here and I think that this year will be good for everyone," Kone said on his club's website.
"He's a good player, he has a lot of quality and he is going to do a lot for the team this year," added the striker, who compared Zokora to former Sevilla midfielder Seydou Keita, who was a huge success at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan before moving to Barcelona last summer.
"He (Zokora) is a little different to the midfielders Sevilla have, he has great technique and mobility. He's similar to Keita, but faster," Kone said.
Zokora, who has agreed a four-year contract with Sevilla and has a buy-out clause of 30million euros, is set to be presented next Wednesday.
