Xavi wants Ribery at Barcelona
Barcelona favourite Xavi has urged the Catalan outfit to sign Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery.
The France international has been linked with Barca and their arch rivals - big-spending Real Madrid.
And with Real's interest apparently cooling due to Bayern's huge asking price, the way could be clear for the Catalan giants to pounce.
Xavi told Mundo Deportivo: "It would be a privilege to play with him. I'm not the one who has to decide, but if you have to make an effort to get Ribery, I would."
Another player Xavi would like to see at the Camp Nou is his Spanish international team-mate David Villa.
The Valencia striker was also linked with Madrid, but again that now looks unlikely with Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Karim Benzema already moving to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Xavi said: "David is a good guy, good friend, worker, humble - he has a total Barca profile. He's a complete striker and I have a great affinity with him."
