Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez is certain that their star striker Luis Fabiano will remain with the Rojiblancos.

"I spoke with him when he was on vacation. He wants to stay here.

"He knows that he is valued here just as much as he will be at any other club. His desire is to remain with us and he would only leave if the both clubs reached an agreement," he said.

Transfer rumours are abuzz for Fabiano, with Italian giants AC Milan still holding out for the Brazilian talent.

Their hopes were quickly dashed, however, when the 28-year-old turned down their offer.

Fabiano's agent Jose Fuentes claimed that Sevilla had turned down a €14 million offer from the Italian side.

The prolific goal-scorer is under contract with Sevilla for another two seasons, and has a £26 million release clause.

Milan's offer, then, "was not good enough", according to Fuentes.

The Sevilla boss, then, has good reason to be confident on his prolific goal-scorer's stay.
