Manuel Pellegrini has written off Klaas-Jan Huntelaar in Real Madrid's future plans.

In an interview with Sport, Pellegrini said: ""I have spoken with every player at the club.

"Huntelaar knows my position. There are too many forwards, and they cannot all stay.

The Los Blancos boss was blunt on the Dutch foward's standing with the Spanish giants.

"He knows that he is not being counted on. He is no longer required.

"The problem is that there are too many forwards, and not enough room for them."

Huntelaar has been linked with a move to England with derby rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal showing an interest

Pellegrini is surely hoping that the move will come sooner rather than later.
