Racing Santander are on the brink of completing a move for Luis Garcia from Atletico Madrid.

According to the club's official website, Garcia will put pen to paper pending a medical.

The 31-year-old will render his services to the club for a two-year stint.

The midfielder made 48 appearances and scored two goals for Atletico Madrid since he joined the club in 2007.

Never being able to regain the football he displayed for Liverpool, Garcia has been a fading star of late and will look forward to a new start.
