Real Madrid can win titles this season if they can maintain their fighting spirit, says legend Alfredo di Stefano.

Di Stefano has been impressed by the current crop of players and he believes Real will again win trophies galore.

The Argentinian, whose playing career spanned 23 years, spoke to the club's website ahead of their Champions League opener away to FC Zurich.

"We have a squad with great quality. If we can maintain that fighting spirit that we have shown in the early stages, we will have a team that can win many titles," said the 'Blonde Arrow'.

Di Stefano he won eight league titles during his 11 years at Madrid and he was an integral part of the Blancos side that captured the first five European Cup crowns, starting in 1955/56.

The prolific marksman scored 266 goals in 342 appearances for Madrid in all competitions, including 50 in 60 European games, and finished as Pichichi five times in six seasons.
